Algerian police deny using internationally banned gas to disperse demonstrators



 The General Directorate of National Security (police) in Algeria denied the validity of a statement published on the social networking site attributed to it, containing false allegations of using internationally prohibited gas to disperse the demonstrations.


The National Security Directorate said in a statement today, Saturday, that it categorically denies the validity of a false press statement attributed to its services and its leadership, on the social networking site Facebook, published today, containing false allegations related to the preservation of order yesterday, Friday, and confirmed that it reserves the right to judicial follow-up. Against the administrators of the page that published the fake statement, and called on users of social media to exercise caution and beware of such false news whose promoters aim to mislead public opinion and sow confusion.
